You’re probably wondering what happens to your used vehicle after you get rid of it. We’re here to explain it all to you. Because we care about the environment, we don't throw away any parts if they can be reused in some way.
We work with companies to recycle all the components that make up a vehicle. Whether it’s oil, metal or tires, everything is recycled and distributed to different companies specialized in recycling.
Veolia offers recycling solutions for oil, oil filters and coolant (antifreeze). The latter is regenerated in order to transform it into valuable raw material for refiners and other industrial facilities.
Recyc-Québec has implemented Quebec’s used tire recycling program. The tires are recovered and directed towards the remoulding and recycling industries. This promotes the industries’ development and protects the environment.
The metal parts of a vehicle are also recyclable. For this, we work with the company D. Turcotte Inc., which takes care of pressing the vehicles that we bring back. The metal parts are then sold to the company ArcelorMittal.
At Pièces d'autos usagées Ste-Julie inc., we also sell used batteries! We even accept non-reusable batteries to send them to a specialized recycling center with the help of our partners.
